Women's Commitee

The SFWU recognises the role and importance of women in the union and the workforce. That's why we have a National Women's Standing Committee who play a central role in our union.

What is the Women's Committee?

The Women's Committee is about union women having an opportunity to have our views heard.

  • Meeting on a regular basis
  • Sharing views and experiences
  • Discussing women's issues
  • Promoting unionisation of women
  • Being a support group
  • Providing backup and protection for our rights
  • Developing networks
  • Providing education and training opportunities
  • Having a place you can feel safe to speak

It's time to be heard!

If you would like more information about the Women's Committee please contact SFWU Member Support on 0800 UNION1 (0800 864 661) or click here to send us an email.
